Bob Pool
Bob Pool is a founding member of Friends of Kawartha Conservation, which began in 1996. Some of the projects he has been involved with include:
- Participating in cleanups in Durham East Cross Forest Conservation Area;
- Helping keep Kenrei Road clean, through the Adopt-A-Road program;
- Participation in the development and fund raising for Howler’s Corners;
- Fund raising for the playground and change rooms at the beach in Ken Reid Conservation Area; and
- Fund raising for and constructing the main boardwalk in Ken Reid Conservation Area.

Lou Probst
Lou Probst is a dedicated volunteer and leader who is making an important contribution to our community. He is:
- The current Chair of the City of Kawartha Lakes Environmental Advisory Committee;
- A member of the Community Advisory Panel that guides lake management planning in the City of Kawartha Lakes;
- Chair of the Carden Plain Important Bird Area;
- Co-Chair of the Carden Nature Festival; and
- A volunteer with the Victoria Stewardship Council.
In addition, Lou has donated important lands for conservation on the Carden Plain.
Dave Simser
Dave has been a volunteer collecting water samples as part of Kawartha Water Watch and undertaken stewardship activities on his farm through the Environmental Farm Plan.
Dave also has made positive contributions to our community as:
- A Director of the Kawartha Chapter of the Ontario Woodlot Association;
- A Director of the Lindsay District Fur Harvester’s Association;
- Former Director for the Victoria-Haliburton Federation of Agriculture; and
- Was a member and Former Vice Chair and Chair of the Victoria Stewardship Council for 15 years.
