Ken Reid Shelters
Meadow Picnic Shelter
The Meadow Picnic Shelter is the first shelter you reach coming into the conservation area. It is located across from the Kawartha Conservation Administrative Centre and Field Centre. It is well suited for groups in buses and individuals looking to picnic and use the 1 km trail on level ground. Outdoor washrooms are available at this site.

Beach Picnic Shelter
The Beach Picnic Shelter is located close to the beach area on Sturgeon Lake. This shelter is ideal for swimmers and groups with children. The playground facilities located here make it a family friendly spot. Outdoor washrooms and changerooms are available at this site.

Group Camp Shelter
The Group Camp Shelter is best suited for large groups who need both picnic facilities and a large surrounding field. This group camp area is also available to community groups (i.e. Boy Scouts, Girl Guides) for overnight camping. Campfires are limited to this location, by permission only. Outdoor washrooms are available at this site.
