Landowner Consultations

We provide free advice and recommendations on how to address erosion, ice damage, nuisance Canada Geese and poor water quality, while maintaining a functional and beautiful waterfront.

Upon request, a qualified consultant from Kawartha Conservation will visit your property to assess any shoreline issues and understand how you use the shoreline and any values that you may have associated with it.

The consultant provides advice and recommendations on how to address the issues using naturalization techniques in a way that meets your needs and uses, and will provide a report on native plants that are suitable for your property. The consultations are completely confidential and any recommendations are non-obligatory.

In addition, the consultant can provide information on creating important wildlife habitat, and how to maintain a healthy lawn without pesticides, excessive fertilizers and over-watering.
