Christmas at Ken Reid Returns December 6 with Holiday Magic and Community Spirit
Lindsay, ON – The sights and sounds of the holiday season will come alive as Kawartha Conservation presents Christmas at Ken Reid on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ken Reid Conservation Area. This annual celebration transforms the park into a festive wonderland filled with lights, laughter, and holiday cheer, and it’s free for everyone to enjoy.
Visitors can look forward to visits with Santa Claus, horse-drawn wagon rides, a Christmas scavenger hunt, Kids’ Craft Corner, story walks, and live music throughout the day. The event combines nature and holiday tradition, offering a welcoming space for families, friends, and neighbours to celebrate the season together.
Admission is free, and donations are appreciated to help the event continue to grow.
Kawartha Conservation extends sincere thanks to Experience Ontario 2025 through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming for their support in helping make this year’s festivities possible.
We would also like to thank our generous sponsors who have already come on board, including Ari Zider, Jason Richard Realtor, Nicole Naylor Revel Realty, Matty G Digital, Patton Tree Co., Double R Plumbing, Nix Tire & Auto Repair, Post Church Envelopes, Tina Doyle RE/MAX, Riz Digital, Colin Coppins Electric, Bill’s Quality Pest Control, and Pro-Wildlife Services Ltd.
Their support is helping fund the lights, décor, and family activities that make Christmas at Ken Reid so special, but more help is needed. Kawartha Conservation is inviting additional sponsors, partners, and donors to join in supporting this community event. Every contribution helps keep the celebration free, accessible, and memorable for families across the region.
More than 10 local vendors have already signed on to offer handcrafted gifts, festive décor, and seasonal treats, adding even more holiday spirit to the day. Additional vendors are encouraged to apply soon, as spaces are limited.
“Christmas at Ken Reid has truly become a community tradition,” said Carolyn Snider, Community Engagement Technician. “Each year, we see families returning, children laughing, and neighbours connecting. It’s a beautiful reminder of how special our community is, and how, together, we can make the season a little brighter for everyone.”
Christmas at Ken Reid will take place rain, snow, or shine on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ken Reid Conservation Area, just north of Lindsay. Dress for the weather, bring your holiday spirit, and enjoy a day of festive fun surrounded by nature.
