Kawartha Conservation seeks sponsors and donations for two holiday traditions at Ken Reid

LINDSAY, ON - Two holiday traditions are returning to Ken Reid Conservation Area this December, and Kawartha Conservation is inviting businesses and residents to help make both possible.

Christmas at Ken Reid takes place Saturday, December 5, with outdoor activities, entertainment, vendors and holiday treats. Admission will remain free. The Illuminated Forest opens Friday, December 11, and continues nightly through Sunday, December 27, inviting visitors to walk through the forest after dark among thousands of lights.

“Christmas at Ken Reid and the Illuminated Forest give people different ways to enjoy this place together during the holidays,” said Carolyn Snider, Community Engagement Technician at Kawartha Conservation. “The support we receive from businesses, donors and community partners helps us welcome families to both events and keep Christmas at Ken Reid free to attend.”

Kawartha Conservation is seeking business sponsors for the holiday events, as well as donations from individuals and families. Sponsors can support a local tradition that draws visitors from Kawartha Lakes and beyond. Residents who have enjoyed either event can contribute to their continuation with a personal donation.
