Kawartha Conservation has officially launched a comprehensive, multi-year Lake Health Monitoring project across 11 lakes in the region. Beginning this spring and running through 2029, the initiative will track the long-term health of local lakes by monitoring critical environmental indicators, including water quality, stream water level, nutrient levels, aquatic plants (diversity), and shoreline characterization. 

Based on information from Trent Severn Waterway, Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Ministry of Natural Resources – Surface Water Monitoring Centre, Kawartha Conservation is extending its Watershed Conditions Statement - Flood Outlook through Friday, May 2.
