April 21, 2020 – Kawartha Conservation has made the difficult, and appropriate, decision to cancel all in-person Stewardship, Education and Conservation Lands programs and events until further notice. The cancellation includes all summer and nature camps, parent and tot programs, forest bathing, seniors’ walks, in-person stewardship consultations and tree planting initiatives.

April 8, 2020 – Having access to the information you want, and need is important. When the new Kawartha Conservation website – www.kawarthaconservation.com – was launched, we wanted to put the power of that information in the hands of the public, and we have.
Residents, businesses and visitors can now subscribe to the information they want, and only the information they want, without being inundated with information that isn’t applicable to them.

April 3, 2020 – The public is reminded that Ken Reid Conservation Area, the off-leash dog park and all of the conservation areas within the Kawartha Conservation watershed are closed to the public until further notice.
During the closure there is no maintenance of trails of green spaces within any of the conservation areas.
