Kawartha Conservation reduces staff in response to Covid-19 challenges

April 27, 2020 – Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, Kawartha Conservation has reduced its full-time and contract staff by nearly 60 percent effective Friday, April 24, providing only services deemed essential through the Province’s declared State of Emergency. 

“This was an extremely difficult decision. There are no words to adequately reflect how much we struggled as an organization with this decision and the impact it will have on our staff,” said Kawartha Conservation CAO Mark Majchrowski.

APRIL 8, 2021 – With the Province’s declared state of emergency and province-wide stay-at-home order coming into effect at 12:01 a.m. today for four weeks, ending on May 6, 2021, Kawartha Conservation wants to ensure that watershed residents have access to services and conservation areas in a safe and efficient manner.
