Widespread flooding is not anticipated, however water levels and flows in watercourses across the Kawartha Conservation watershed jurisdiction remain elevated due to the ongoing spring melt and near saturated ground conditions.

MARCH 28, 2023 – Fish habitat has been improved in parts of the Kawartha Lakes following the successful completion of 10 aquatic habitat restoration projects in 2022 as part of the Bring Back the Fish program.

The first week of spring will bring a mix of snow and rain, with expected rainfall totalling 15-20 mm followed by cooler temperatures into the weekend and another 10-15 mm of snow and/or rainfall.
