Watershed Conditions Statement - Water Safety - July 8

Another low-pressure system is moving across southern Ontario, including the Kawartha Conservation watershed, bringing showers and thunderstorms. Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement predicting that some of the expected rain events will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm. Isolated amounts exceeding 50 mm will also be possible in some locations.

Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for southern Ontario, including the Kawartha Conservation watershed. Substantial rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours as a low-pressure system that involves remnants of Hurricane Pamela moves through the region today and tomorrow, bringing the wet and colder weather.
