JULY 29, 2021 – The Kawartha Conservation Foundation’s Explore Nature Challenge kicks off this weekend and the response to date has been overwhelming. May 14, 2020 – Conservation areas will begin re-opening across the Kawartha Conservation watershed on Thursday, May 14 with Windy Ridge Conservation Area opening in time for the May long weekend. Ken Reid Conservation Area will re-open on Tuesday, May 19.

Still time to apply for 2021 Water Fund grants

AUGUST 20, 2021 – If you’re a landowner in Scugog Township or a community group in Scugog Township or City of Kawartha Lakes, there is still time to apply for grant funds through the Scugog Water Fund and Kawartha Water Fund for 2021 projects.
The funds are designed to provide financial support to property owners and community groups in undertaking projects that benefit watersheds in the respective communities and area.
Projects include a variety of areas including:

DECEMBER 2, 2020 –Kawartha Conservation and the Kawartha Lakes Public Library are launching the popular Story Walk at Ken Reid Conservation Area this Saturday, December 5, featuring the popular children’s book ‘The Snowy Day’ by Jack Ezra Keats.
