MARCH 14, 2022 – Kawartha Conservation is looking for Lake Scugog shoreline property owners interested in participating in a fish spawning habitat restoration project.
Kawartha Conservation's Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) department is looking to place river-rock along the shoreline of eligible properties as part of the Lake Scugog Enhancement Project. The summer weather has finally arrived! The warm season brings longer days and more fun outdoors. However, it also comes with severe weather hazards such as thunderstorms and flooding.
Thunderstorms can suddenly develop during the warmer months and are often accompanied by strong winds, hail, lightning, and heavy rain. In some areas, especially urbanized locations, thunderstorms can cause flash flooding when large amounts of heavy rain occur in a short period of time.

JANUARY 12, 2022 – Due to an overwhelming response, the first Forest Therapy session scheduled for Bell Let’s Talk Day on January 26, 2022 has reached capacity, but Kawartha Conservation will be hosting a second session the same day, January 26, 2022 from 2pm to 3:30pm at Ken Reid Conservation Area.
