NOVEMBER 22, 2021 – Signs, we see them everywhere. We see them while we're driving and while we're walking. We see them in towns, cities, villages, and hamlets and along roadways across our region and our province. But how much do we pay attention to them?
Sure, we all know what the different speed signs mean, but have you ever seen a Drinking Water Source Protection sign and wondered what it meant? Maybe you've driven by them and not even noticed them.
Lake Dalrymple Management Plan year one update

NOVEMBER 22, 2021 – Kawartha Conservation’s Integrated Watershed Management (IWM) team has wrapped up the first year of the Lake Dalrymple Management Plan.
The plan, being completed for the City of Kawartha Lakes, is a four-year (2021-2024) science-based plan that will look at the pressures and challenges currently facing Lake Dalrymple and its surrounding watershed, and develop recommendations and next steps based on those findings in consultation with members of the watershed community.

Level 1 low water condition declared for Kawartha watershed

JUNE 7, 2021 - Kawartha Conservation has declared a Level 1 low water condition and is encouraging a voluntary 10% reduction in non-essential water use across the Kawartha Conservation watershed. This includes areas within the City of Kawartha Lakes, Scugog, Brock, the Municipality of Trent lakes, Cavan Monaghan, and Clarington.

Level II Low Water Condition continues

August 12, 2020 – Persistent dry weather across the Kawartha Conservation watershed has resulted in an ongoing Level II Low Water declaration for the entire area.
On Wednesday morning, August 12, the Kawartha Low Water Response Team met to receive an update on the current situation and three month average, which has resulted in the continued low water warning.
