Bring Back the Fish program helps restore fish habitat in the Kawartha Lakes

MARCH 28, 2023 –Fish habitat has been improved in parts of the Kawartha Lakes following the successful completion of 10 aquatic habitat restoration projects in 2022 as part of theBring Back the Fish program.

Working with local landowners to improve aquatic habitat, water quality, and fish spawning conditions in local urban waterways, Kawartha Conservation, property owners and contractors helped to restore more than 450-meters of streambanks and planted more than 1500 trees, shrubs, and flowers...
