Proclaimed provisions in the Conservation Authorities Act (CA Act) and accompanying regulations require that a Transition Plan be developed by December 31, 2021. The Transition Plan includes a work plan, timing and next steps.

Kawartha Conservation Transition Plan

As per the Conservation Authority Act transition Requirement, an Inventory of programs and services was required for February 28, 2022 to facilitate agreements on the programs and services that will be funded by participating municipalities that align with the classes of programs and services identified by the Province.
The inventory was updated on February 23, 2023 to address Bill 23 implications affecting the services we provide.

Kawartha Conservation has a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with our municipal partners which outline the work we undertake on behalf of our member municipalities.
